E-Health, Telehealth, and Telemedicine: A Guide to Startup and Success (Jossey-Bass Health Series) ReviewThis is a great resource. I have taught a class in computers in health care for undergraduates seeking degrees in health care administration since 1985; I've spent an increasing amount of time on telemedicine and e-health topics.
The authors have done a great job in pulling together all of the facts and concepts needed to effectively teach this subject. Detailed chapters on technologies, applications, and how to get started provide an excellent foundation. Chapters on challenges to maintaining confidentiality of patient information, malpractice pitfalls and ethical concerns with e-health are perfect for teachers and are essential reading to all professionals who are involved in the provision of these services. Final chapters emphasizing the evaluation of programs using these emerging (and imperfect) technologies temper the "let's do it because we can" spirit of telemedicine enthusiasts with the "let's make sure it works in the real world" concerns of administrators.
I'm particularly pleased with the effort made in every chapter to put a human face on the technologies involved. Much better than dry feature lists, these real-world examples will help my students (some of whom are health care practitioners returning for another degree) really understand what e-health will mean to us all.

It is for R.E. agents (actually Realtors), but alot of it could be used for almost any internet business. Teaches you how to make the center of your business your webpage.
Without getting into too much detail, this book covers topics such as: Why not to use your name as your domain name, how to use multiple domains, driving traffice to your website, capturing e-leads, follow up, turning leads into customers for life, email marketing, building an email database, using virtual assistants and more. The AMA Handbook of Public Relations Review
I loved it. Impressive. I won't say it is a "detailed" handbook to use to actually become expert at PR in the 21st century. But it is a wonderful book that covers the following:
>>New media [Web sites, blogs, & mircoblogs]
>>Old media [Newspapers, magazines, etc.]
>>Public speaking
>>Market research
>>Tactics for keeping up digitally
I'm not sure why "market research" was included. But then the book is sponsored by the AMA. I found the text to be well written and outlined. It is comprised of four parts that are broken into 19 chapters and three appendices. I urge you to examine the Search Inside feature Amazon provides for this book so you can see the 19 chapter titles.
Back in May, 2009 I read and reviewed Putting the Public Back in Public Relations: How Social Media Is Reinventing the Aging Business of PR. In that review I commented that there should have been a chapter on Investor Relations. Well, the instant book has one. See Chapter 13 and the related chapter on The Annual Report (14). I like both books. And I think they compliment one another. I highly recommend any public relations professional who wants to be competent in their field and make things happen today read both as companion books. 5 stars!The AMA Handbook of Public Relations Overview
